What to expect?
The Volcanoes’ Natural Park surrounds the Timanfaya National Park and is a unique setting for a walk. The last volcanic eruptions occurred around 1730 and that hit Lanzarote for 6 years, changed the configuration of the island and left a unique world-known volcanic landscape. This together with a high degree of environmental protection available in the area, turn this route into a chromatic gift that is hard to forget.
During the route, we can see the processes and forms created by the action of volcanoes: lava fields, ashes, craters, tunnels. stoves … An exceptional palette of colours ranging from the most intense red to black, passing through an infinite range of greys and ochres.
The 6 km excursion lasts for around 6 h, of which 3 h are quite easy to walk and is suitable for children from age 8.
Enjoy the tremendous landscape and the curious shapes created by volcanic eruptions!
