Speedboat Shuttle to Lobos Island

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Enjoy a round trip sailing over the waves to Lobos Island on board our speedboat.

Lobos Island is a small islet located northeast of Fuerteventura, just 20 minutes by boat from Corralejo. It is named after the monk seals (sea lions) that inhabited the island at some point in history. Together with the Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo, it was one of the first natural areas in the Canary Islands to be protected.

With a surface area of 467.9 km² and a perimeter of 13.7 km, it has a high level of biodiversity with the presence of endemic species unique to the island, such as the Lobos everlasting evergreen. In addition, you can see a great variety of vulnerable marine and migratory birds and some in danger of extinction such as the Shearwaters, Storm Petrels, Bulwer’s Petrels, etc.

When visiting the Isla de Lobos it is important to know that you will be entering a Protected Natural Area and that, therefore, any activity that infringes on the nature or landscape of the park is penalised. Don’t forget to contribute to its conservation by respecting the rules of use, permitted and prohibited activities, as well as those that require authorisation.

We hope you enjoy your visit!

KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

    • Bring enough water and food.
    • Wear suitable and comfortable walking shoes (trainers and flip-flops), as the paths are sandy and rocky.
    • Use sun protection (creams, hats, umbrellas…).
    • Do not leave rubbish or organic waste, as they can feed predatory species of migratory birds that nest on the island.
