What to expect?

Climb aboard this eco-friendly catamaran and enjoy a unique cruise on the Atlantic Ocean. Sensational views of the south coast of Tenerife await you.

The Maxicat is a comfortable and modern boat based in Puerto Colon. Once on board, our friendly crew will give you a warm welcome and from the start of the cruise, you can relax in the sun with a refreshing drink. When we arrive at our destination there will be plenty of time for swimming, lunch and snorkelling

Due to the area where we are sailing, there is a good chance of spotting some of the 28 species of cetaceans that roam the waters of the Canary Islands, such as bottlenose and common dolphins or pilot whales. Our guides will help you to get to know and observe them.

We offer you TWO different tours:
  • 3-HOUR TOUR

We will depart from Puerto Colón and head towards the strait that separates the coast of the south of Tenerife and the island of La Gomera, where we will be able to observe the species mentioned above (as they are wild animals, we cannot guarantee a 100% sighting).

After the sighting, we will head towards the beach of Diego Hernández, where we will be able to observe the Teide volcano if the weather allows us to do so. We will continue to the Espaguitei beach, where we will enjoy a swim, snorkelling, sunbathing and a meal prepared by the crew.

After 30 minutes, we will return to Puerto Adeje, bordering Costa Adeje and enjoy the scenery of all its beaches (La Caleta, Playa de la Enramada, Playa del Veril, Playa del Duque, Playa Fañabé, Playa Torviscas, Playa la Pinta).

  • 5-HOUR TOUR

We will leave from Puerto Colón and head towards the strait that separates the coast of the South of Tenerife and the island of La Gomera, where we will be able to observe the species mentioned above (as they are wild animals, we cannot guarantee 100% sightings).

Afterwards, we will go to the cliffs of Los Gigantes, a geological feature of volcanic origin the rocks and vertical walls reach 600m high over the Atlantic Ocean, they are the highest in the world.

We will arrive at Masca Beach, you can enjoy a relaxing swim, snorkel, sunbathe and of course, have lunch.

After 30 minutes we will head back to the harbour, bordering Costa Adeje and enjoy the scenery of all its beaches (La Caleta, Playa de la Enramada, Playa del Veril, Playa del Duque, Playa Fañabé, Playa Torviscas, Playa la Pinta).

The boat was full but not too crowded, there were couple of empty seats and we had space to be comfortably on the boat.

We stopped 3-4 times and saw pilot whales, dolphins (I think they were bottlenose dolphins but I’m not sure), and also fin whales that are vulnerable. We saw them quite near.

Then we got chicken paella what was OK and about 25-30 minutes was reserved for swimming and sunbathing. Very nice.

The staff was very friendly. Very good 3-hour trip.

We went on the 3 hour boat trip, it was really worth the money. We saw pilot whales, had a paella lunch, loads of drinks (all included in the price). Even got to swim and see some fish!
