What to expect?
Like any modern metropolis, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has a lot to offer and we take you to see the most emblematic and special corners of the capital of this Canary Island.
The city center has two very popular and must-see areas: one is Vegueta and the shopping area of Calle Triana. The other, located near the harbor, is La Playa de Las Canteras, next to Plaza Santa Catalina and the shopping street Mesa y López.
We will start the tour in Las Canteras, then we will go to Vegueta, a historic district of the city founded in 1494, where you will find the Cathedral of Santa Ana and the Christopher Columbus House-Museum. Finally, you can visit the area of the Calle Mayor de Triana, its shops, terraces, and bars. We will finish the route with another point of interest which is Las Canteras, where we will be able to enjoy the boulevard of Las Canteras Beach.
Las Canteras is considered one of the best urban beaches in Europe. You will also be able to see the famous Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, and there is a small walk of fame as if it were Hollywood.
It will undoubtedly be a day full of contrasts in an urban environment that is becoming more and more fashionable among visitors to the Canary Islands.
